Larry Bishop

Larry Bishop wrote, directed, produced and stars in HELL RIDE, a film Quentin Tarantino Presents. Dimension is distributed the film which premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. HELL RIDE also stars Michael Madsen, Dennis Hopper, David Carradine, Vinnie Jones, Eric Balfour, and Leonor Varela. Tarantino first worked with Bishop when he wrote the memorable role of the sadistic strip club owner in KILL BILL, Vol. 2 especially for him.

A Rat Pack progeny, Bishop spent his childhood surrounded by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr. In 1967, Larry, along with Rob Reiner and Richard Dreyfuss, formed their own Rat Pack, and created an improvisational comedy group, The Session, which lead to an improvisational comedy act, Reiner and Bishop. Prior to that, Larry also had a comedy act with Albert Brooks.

Reuniting with Dreyfuss, Bishop wrote, directed, co-produced, and starred in MAD DOG TIME. United Artists distributed the film which also starred Richard Dreyfuss, Jeff Goldblum, Gabriel Byrne, Ellen Barkin, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Burt Reynolds, and Richard Pryor.

Bishop wrote and starred in UNDERWORLD, a dark gangster film, which Trimark released. The film also starred Denis Leary, Joe Mantegna, and Annabella Sciorra.

Larry starred in WILD IN THE STREETS while under contract to AIP where he starred in many motorcycle movies, including ANGEL UNCHAINED, THE SAVAGE SEVEN, CHROME AND HOT LEATHER. After working with Richard Dreyfuss in THE BIG FIX, Universal Pictures put Bishop under contract.

Bishop and Coppage are currently packaging his new projects, SWEATING BULLETS and BADMEN. The team also published TRIGGER-HAPPY aka MAD DOG TIME and THE ONE-WAY RIDE through their Worldshakers Publishing.
